This adorable kitty needs to find it's way home		 Lost
4 year old Sheltie

 

We are looking for my grandson's lost female Sheltie.  She was lost the weekend of 5 June in the mountain area south and east of the Quartz Mountain Christian Camp. She is small and black, sable and white.  Her name is Siouxsie.  She has on a collar with my son's name and phone number. She has been seen by farmers in the area earlier this week.  If found, please contact me.

Per City Animal Control Ordinance
(very paraphrased)

Animals picked up at large or brought in as a stray are waiting for their owners to reclaim them.  they must be held for 5 business days before they can be taken by a rescue group for adoption or euthanized by animal control .  The day an animal arrives does not count as one of the days.  Any day that the shelter is closed does not count either.  It must be a day that the shelter is open to the general public.  this past weekend the 2nd, 3rd and 5th should not count.  Example: An animal is brought into the shelter on Thursday, the 1st.  The dog (or cat) has 5 business days before it can be released to rescue or euthanized.  the first day it should be avail would be on the 12th.

animals that are surrendered by their owner or are brought to Altus under contract by another town can be taken by rescue that day.  and can be euthanized at the first opportunity.
